The Challenge Institute was created to extend the foundational work of Apple on Challenge Based Learning. Today, the CBL framework is used across six continents—adapted by educators, organizations, and communities to address challenges in fields as diverse as software development, healthcare, and education.

Our mission is to advance CBL research, support global adoption, and help communities customize the framework for their own contexts. We believe that when people learn to identify meaningful challenges and take action, they develop the capacity to create lasting change. With so many significant challenges ahead, the world needs more learners ready to meet them. That's why we do what we do.
